Lesley Evelyn Potter is a retired nurse and midwife who has had a varied career in thehealth sector. She has worked in hospitals in NSW in varying roles–Clinician,Educator andin Management. Lesley holds a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Arts(English Literature) and a PhD in Nursing/MidwiferyHistory.She has been President ofthe Randwick Historical Society and the NSW branch of Independent Scholar’sAssociation of Australia,and for four years was the chair of Australian College ofNursing’s History Faculty. Recently,she was secretary to the City Branch of GraduateWomen, NSW.Lesley has authored and co-authored a number of publications (booksand articles) andis the editor of the book,No longer Silent: Voices of 21st Century Nurses,published byACN, 2023.Currently Lesley is the secretary of Randwick and Eastern Suburbs Soroptimist club andthePublic Officer for Australian Graduate Women In
